Mosaics in advertising

A collection of mosaic illustrations created for various advertising campaigns around the world.

Mosaics are a great passion of mine. I've been studying them together with synthetic images for over twenty years now. What intrigues me most about these images is this continuous zoom-in and zoom-out ability that the viewer has. This continuous exploration and discovery of new elements and relationships between the part and the whole amazes me. Mosaics are probably the best application for the Gestalt Psychology principle that "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts".
