Squares, Triangles, Circles...

A series of experimental mosaic artworks based on the basic geometrical shapes.

Professional and experimental artworks created during the last year. A continuation of my mosaic studies based on the bipolar scheme of simplicity and complexity. Trying to capture the motion through very bold and rigid shapes. Trying to express the beauty through pure geometry. Squares (and rectangles), triangles, and circles are basic constructive materials. Limited color palettes to express atmosphere and temperature.
Influenced by the movements of suprematism, abstactism and op art. Always returning to the Gestalt psychology principle that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
